About Me:
Michael Wissot is a managing general partner of SymAction Communications, a corporate communications and market research firm. He also serves as an adjunct professor of communication at Pepperdine University, as well as a political analyst for KABC talk radio. Wissot – an expert in crisis management, market research and Internet communications – was recently selected as one of the San Fernando Valley’s top professionals under 40 years of age.
Wissot previously worked two years as Vice President of Luntz Research Companies, moderating focus groups and conducting surveys for such clients as Coca-Cola, 20th Century FOX, Motion Pictures Association of America, Recording Industry Association of America, Ameriquest Mortgage, Miller Brewing, Wynn Las Vegas, and Kroger. He also contributed to messaging projects for President George W. Bush, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and several other world leaders and CEOs.
From 1999 to 2003, Wissot served as CEO of Dentistry.com, a leading dental referral company, which he sold to 1-800-DENTIST© in 2006.
Wissot worked for United States Senator John McCain (R-AZ) in both Washington DC and Phoenix. His legislative duties for Senator McCain and the Senate Committee for Commerce, Science, and Transportation included the moratorium on Internet taxation, and the deregulation of the telecommunications industry..
His background in the sports entertainment industry is highlighted by stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, and Insight Bowl.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University, a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Arizona, and a Master of International Management degree from Thunderbird.
Michael Wissot has made countless TV and radio appearances. He has also published articles for PR Week, Sports Business Journal, Jerusalem Post, The Daily News, and others.
