Here's some advice from someone who's hired dog walkers and sitters -- tell your customers your plan for days when you are sick or unable to come to the house. If you have a substitute walker or sitter, bring them around to introduce them to the pets and the owners. I happened to be at home one day when a substitute came by -- imagine my surprise when I saw a complete stranger walk into my kitchen. Remember, you are going to be entrusted with the keys to people's houses.

Kerry, really useful guide about a problem I wouldn't have thought about if you hadn't pointed it out. It strikes me that these steps could apply to other kinds of disasters like snow emergencies or earthquakes. I'd like to see the pandemic checklist from Health and Human Services but it looks like they changed the page because the link doesn't work . Can you add the link again? Thanks!
