This article is very helpful to reliability engineers who are not familiar with the special requirements that are associated with HAST testing. The 96 hours of HAST testing has replaced the previously popular THB testing that took 1000 hours and yet could not find problems associated with packaging, moisture, condensation including the various material testing problems and issues. Most of the experienced and knowledgeable reliability engineers will not allow their HAST testing to be performed on none other than the HIRAYAMA HAST Chamber.
