My Comments

  • Metal Buildings - 01/03/2007
Hi there, I made a couple of calls and was told that inherently there is not a major difference in the heating costs of a steel building and a conventional building, and without insulation neither structures will be efficient. However, some experts say that a steel building that is finished correctly can be exceedingly tight, steel also doesn't change, whereas wood moves, twists, etc. Some steel building manufacturers claim that with a steel building once it's heated or cooled, it takes much less energy to keep at the desired temperature. Hope that helps. Sheryl
