Thanks Paul. The Giclee method is gaining so much ground that sales are doubling every quarter. Companies such as Disney have been selling giclee limited edition animation cells for years now. Individual artists are finding out how profitable it can be to make high quality reproductions of their art work while offering truly exquisite renditions of their originals. Photographers can now print on different types of papers without being restricted to the very few traditional photo substrates. Digital artists can paint on the computer and put their work on canvas, creating unique pieces or limited editions if they wish.
Dear Shara,
We do have a gallery of giclee images at www.allpconline.com. Seeing the images online does not really tell the story. You have to physically see one to appreciate the colors and textures. Giclee is pronounced zhee-clay (loosely). The term was actually coined in the Santa Monica area by Duganne.
Thank you for your positive feedback!
