  • Thanks, Scott! That is a great tip to add. It's easy to get caught up in the new social media tools (like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), and to overlook the more traditional social interaction spaces, such as forums and message boards, where users/customers get to interact with each other, too. Thanks for pointing that out!
  • Great article! I've done the burning coal walk myself. And I've made some significant career change choices both before and after that walk. To be honest, the changes I made didn't always work out as I had expected (especially on the first try); I did have to back-track a bit, re-build, then try again. But I can say, I learned so much, and most of all, I had no regrets. Had I not gone after my dreams and made the career changes I did, I now know I would have regretted that forever. So, I echo your advice! We only live once, so it's important to go after those dreams. Try, try, try, then try again. You'll get there.
  • Thanks for your comments! Glad you liked the article. We all have limited time and resources available to us for building our business, so it's important that people make the most out of every opportunity they do have. Attending trade shows is about so much more than just showing up. A little preparation and showing up with the right attitude goes a long way. Just hoping to pass on some of the things I learned along the way. I'm sure I'll be writing more on topics like this going forward. Let me know if you have any questions or if there are other topics you'd like me to expand on in future articles. Thanks again!
