Los Angeles, CA
Jean Roth has been a CafePress shopkeeper since 2002 when she established Rotem Gear as a division of Rotem Design Studio, a graphic design firm. What had started out as a fun way to make a custom tee soon expanded into a business of several CP shops targetting different markets -- RotemGear.com, UnearthedTees.com, PetTiles.com, BadCatTagger.com, LickiTees.com, TShirtAddiction.com, and most recently, InsinceriTees (www.cafepress.com/insinceritees. )
Rotem Design Studio and Rotem Gear designs have appeared in L.A.'s Happy Six boutique, Gallery Judaica, Fashion Co-op, The L.A. Times, Anew Magazine's "Our Favorite Things" and Metro (NY edition), as well as Finer Living, My Favorite Cup of Tea, and numerous fashion sites and blogs.
"I love the process of creating something that makes me smile, that "speaks" to another person and sometimes also speaks *for* them. T-shirts are, in many ways, personal billboards delivered via some aesthetic and/or fun vehicle-- they say something about the person wearing it. I know it sounds grandiose for a t-shirt. But it's all part of what I enjoy about the creation process, and hopefully what people enjoy about wearing them."
